I have been actively involved with firearms and shooting for over 45 years, growing up around guns and developing a deep understanding of safe handling, marksmanship, and responsible ownership throughout my life. As a Life Member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), I have maintained a long-standing commitment to firearm education, safety, and the shooting sports. My experience extends into competitive shooting, where I have honed my skills through structured practice and participation in organized events, contributing to a disciplined and safety-conscious approach on the range.

In addition to personal proficiency, I am a certified NRA Pistol Instructor, qualified to teach the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting and other core firearm safety and training courses. This role allows me to pass on essential knowledge—such as safe gun handling, shooting fundamentals, ammunition types, and cleaning procedures—to new and experienced shooters alike. I am also a certified NRA Range Safety Officer, a position that requires a thorough understanding of range protocols, risk management, and emergency procedures to ensure a safe environment for all participants.

Beyond the range, I am an accomplished hunter with decades of field experience, applying ethical hunting practices and firearm safety in real-world scenarios. My background in hunting complements my instructional work, especially when teaching personal protection and defensive shooting concepts.

One of my greatest passions is mentoring others—whether beginners, women, seniors, or youth—who are interested in learning about firearms in a safe, respectful, and educational environment. I believe in promoting responsible gun ownership, safety, and confidence through structured training and hands-on experience, aligning with the NRA’s mission to develop ethical, responsible, and skilled shooters.
